I had a deprived upbringing & I'm going to provide evidence so you can decide. All the time, growing up, my mother NEVER used garlic.!!! Probably died never having used it. we were immersed in mostly alien cultures, predominantly Portugese & Italian. We had it hammered into us that garlic on yr breath was about the lowest step on the social scale. We were already pretty low.

Today, my wife (who does nost of the meal prep) or I believe garlic should go in 1st. Maybe except breakfast.

I have a secret herb garden in a quiet corner of my heart. No one goes there; I'm the only one who knows it's there but once in a while I go there to remember the herbs. There are 3, Herb Hopkins, Herb Knutson, and Herbert Craig, approximately in the order they impacted my life. They were people all named Herb by coincidence who evidently saw in me a potential I didn't know was there or who encouraged me in some way I hadn't gotten from anyone else. I remember them with complete love, & hope their example will encourage me to look for potential in others who maybe are being overlooked. May God's angels sing their praises.
